7: How God restores sexuality through the gospel | Restored
In this series we have been looking at how God’s grace restores. It’s about God taking the broken pieces of our lives and making them whole again. And that’s especially true when it comes to sex and sexuality. Sex is a subject that affects everyone, at any age. And everybody has an opinion that supports their sexual behaviour. The problem is, our opinions have wreaked havoc on this world. We are in relational chaos because of opinions about sex. Add to that the huge cultural change when it comes to sexuality such as same-sex marriage, transgender, gender fluid – how are we to respond to all these issues? Maybe, you even feel that this is something not to be talked about at church. But we should talk about it because God has a lot to say about it. And if we don’t, confusion and disaster await because we have the wrong view of sex. We need a restored view of sex and sexuality.
In the message we are going to firstly look at two thing the Bible says about sex. And then in the second half of the message we will look at what should be our response, in other words, what is God’s desire for us.
